1. Buy your own fingerprint reader
Be able to capture your own applicants’ fingerprints with our iCheck software which integrates AFIS with our screening technology, allowing you to check criminal records at your convenience. Suited for large volume of checks
3. Agent call-out
On-site agent checks using one of our roaming agents. Available in Gauteng, Durban and Cape Town.
2. National AFIS network
Have your applicants’ fingerprints captured at one of our 35+ agents nationally. EMPS has developed an online booking system to make this process quick and efficient, including applicant sms and email reminders. See our list of branches around South Africa.
4. Paper-based fingerprints
Send applicant fingerprints captured at local police station for processing.

- Install iCheck ™ software
- Await user activation
- Start capturing applicant prints
Book an agent:
- Register an account online with EMPS
- Choose your payment option
- Email with your required date, address, and the number of candidates to be checked
- We charge a call out fee, travel per KM and a per-check fee
- We will get back to you to confirm the date or provide an alternative date
- Receive initial illicit report results within 24-48 hours*
- *if there are no supplier delays

- Make online booking for applicant
- Applicant will receive email and sms reminder
- Applicant attends appointment and has prints captured

Do paper-based fingerprints
- Register an account with EMPS
- Choose payment option
- Get your candidate to go to their nearest police station to have their fingerprints captured
- Courier the original fingerprints, a signed consent form, and copy of candidate’s ID to EMPS
- Receive initial illicit report results within 5 -7 working days*
