Understanding LVA Technology

UNDERSTANDING THE PHYSIOLOGY OF A LIE

Our nervous system is our control centre, sending messages to all parts of the body. The main part of the nervous system is the Autonomous nervous system which controls the things over which we have no control, like digestion.
This nervous system is divided in 2; The Parasympathetic is the normal state our body exists in, homeostasis/resting state. The Sympathetic is the state when our body encounters a threat; here we go into fight or flight. In this state a person's heart beats faster and needs more oxygen. The muscles need more oxygen so blood flows quicker and a person starts to sweat.
The same happens when a person lies, the body encounters a threat and therefore bodily changes occur...which can be measured.

UNDERSTANDING THE PSYCHOLOGY OF A LIE: WHAT ARE WE THINKING & FEELING WHEN WE TELL A LIE?

To understand LVA, we need to understand the psychology of a lie. Worldwide it is an untruth, but what if it is simply an inaccuracy or exaggeration. In truth verification a lie has the PURPOSE of DECEIVING-- the person who said it really wants you to believe it.
LVA can differentiate between different types of lies, which include jokes, white lies, defensive lies, and offensive lies. It only defines something as a DECEPTION where there is a GAIN-LOSE situation= i.e. it has the PURPOSE is to DECEIVE

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • Our brain processes emotions and they manifest through the voice - this voice is the manifestation of our "brain fingerprint"
  • When we talk, air is pushed from the lungs, through the vocal cords, the lips, tongue and teeth to create the speech flow.
  • The vocal cord's vibrations generate a leading frequency. This frequency range differs according to gender and is very sensitive to any emotions or stress.
  • The human brain also plays a very big part in the generation of speech flow - any event that occurs in the brain (such as feeling, confusion, pain, etc.) is reflected in the voice.
  • The feelings detected in the voice analysis reveal stress, confusion, hesitation, and deception.
  • LVA technology uses "psychological patterns" detection as well as three different and independent equations. These equations distinguish between stress resulting from excitement and any other emotional stress.
  • Distinctions are also made between confusion and other cognitive or global stress resulting from the
  • Circumstances surrounding the issue being discussed. It also distinguishes between "acceptable levels" of stress and between stresses emanating from attempts at deception.
  • LVA detects levels of tension, rejection, fear, embarrassment and attempts to outsmart or answer cynically. It also measures the subject's level of thinking. LVA also measures the willingness of the subject to answer in the relatively new Stop or Say (S.O.S) parameter.
  • Using Deception Patterns, LVA can achieve the greatest accuracy rate in detecting deceptions.
