TEST FACTORS
The test items are BASED ON SCIENTIFICALLY ESTABLISHED FACTOR STRUCTURE measuring the following:
Honesty
Lying
Reliability and dependability
Violation of policy, rules and regulations
Denial
Work ethic
Manipulation
The test also has a built-in lie detector to establish if the candidate has been honest when answering the test.
CONDUCTING A TEST
The respondent must be willing to partake voluntarily.
The respondent must be totally relaxed and in a peaceful state of mind.
The physical environment must be conducive to an uninterrupted, quiet and comfortable completion of the questionnaire.
The candidate must understand that this test must be answered as honestly as possible. If one is dishonest there are indicators which will pick that up. Inconsistency in answering or deliberate attempts to manipulate the results will be highlighted in the report.
If the respondent is interrupted during completion of the questionnaire, the resulting profile may be invalid.
The respondent must be encouraged to answer the questions instinctively and not to ponder each question too long. The first answer that comes to mind is the best.
BENEFITS
It should be kept in mind that no test can be used in isolation and therefore the integrity test is supposed to be an additional hiring tool in the recruitment and selection process but if it is used carefully it has the following benefits:
Saves interviewing time
Lowers shrinkage
Fewer theft terminations
Increased productivity
Reduced labour turnover
Less management time
Fewer accidents
Fewer disciplinary incidents
Fewer rule violations
Fewer customer complaints
Fewer training failures
